On the dawn of my daughter entering Pre-K, I have been engaging in much conversation about the public school system and what is expected of our children.  This lecture is at the root of my concern for pushing children so hard in the academics at such a young age.  It is part of my concern for the lessening of programs such as art, music and even recess.
